The main types of plastic manufacturing processes

The following are the main types of plastic manufacturing processes

1. Injection molding

·A method for quickly injecting melted plastic into a mold and curing to obtain various plastic products.

2. Extrusion molding

·Plasticize continuously by screw rotation and pressure. When the good plastic is squeezed into the mold and passed through the mouth die of a certain shape, the process method of the plastic profile corresponding to the shape of the mouth die is obtained.

3. Hollow blow molding

·To be extruded from the extruder and still in a softened state. The tubular thermoplastic blank is put into the molding mold, and then compressed air is passed into the mold, and the bad material is deformed along the mold cavity by the pressure of air, so as to be blown into a hollow product with a short neck.

4. Press and form

·Add solid particles or prefabricated sheets to the mold, soften and melt them by heating and pressurizing, fill the mold cavity under pressure, and obtain plastic parts after curing.

5. Thermoforming

·A more special plastic processing method for processing thermoplastic sheets into various products. A special plastic processing method for processing thermoplastic sheets into various products. The sheet is clamped on the frame and heated to a softened state. Under the action of external force, it is pressed close to the mold surface to obtain a shape similar to the mold surface. After cooling and shaping, the finished product is finished after dressing.

6. Foam molding

·Added to foaming materials (PVC, PE, PS, etc.). The process by which the plastic produces a microporous structure with an appropriate blowing agent.

7. Rotary molding

·Add the measured plastic (liquid or powder) first. In the mold, after the mold is closed, the mold is rotated along two vertical rotation axes, while the mold is heated, the plastic raw materials in the mold are gradually evenly coated and fused to the entire surface of the mold cavity under the action of gravity and heat energy, forming the same shape as the mold cavity, and then the product of the desired shape is obtained by cooling and molding.

8. Blister

·The flat plastic sheet is heated and softened, absorbed on the mold surface by vacuum, cooled and formed, and applied to all walks of life.

9. Molding

·Put powdered, granular or fibrous plastic into molding first. Temperature in the mold cavity, and then close the mold pressure to make it formed and cured operation.

10. Rolling molding

·Pass the melt plasticized thermoplastic through more than two. The melt is extruded and stretched by the roll to become a continuous flake product with a certain size and quality requirements, and finally formed by natural cooling. The calendering process is often used in the production of plastic films or sheets.

Each of these processes has its own characteristics and scope of application, and the most suitable manufacturing process can be selected according to the needs of different plastic products.
